Challenge
- It took up to two months of special machine shop work, circuit design, hand-coded software development, and in-car testing to determine whether a design was feasible for production. Client requested us to help to optimise this lead time by modelling and real time simulation using Embed SE
Our Solutions
- Configured a system consisting of Embed SE (formerly called VisSim) with two PCMCIA DAC card 1200s, 16 analog inputs, 4 analog outputs, and 16 digital I/OS. Both the closed-loop control, as well as the data logging was developed and configured with Embed SE. Established communication between Embed SE and DAC card and start monitoring all the sensors data. And simulate the possible options to see the system behaviour
Results
- Model-Based Design approach reduces testing from two months to less than a month for the first setup. It can reduce further for a consecutive vehicle testing.
