Fully Automated Solutions for Pharmaceutical Company

Challenge

  • The current process of manually unpacking components for feeding them to the assembly line caused risks associated with human touchpoints.
  • They needed conceptual design of an automated components’ unpacking system for feeding them to an assembly line to eliminate human touchpoints and improve hygiene

Our Solutions

  • Examined current state and desired future state – upstream and downstream activities, deriving specifications for the future state automated line.
  • Identified off-the-shelf solutions, developed custom designs for realizing the future state and for removal of packing materials from the line.
  • Identified and integrated AGVs for component transportation
  • Integrated all the above solutions into a conceptual design.
  • Validated conceptual design through trials.
  • Provided budgetary estimates for design and manufacturing of conceptual design.

Provided a fully automated solution (zero touchpoints) to integrate into the existing floor plan, with the following benefits:
  • Just-In-Time supply to the assembly line.

  • Automated handling of packing material for compacting and disposal
