Our customer, Burr Oak Tool decided to adopt the Digital Twin Technology driven by long supply chain lead times that was forcing them to delay customer orders. In the process they discovered other benefits including vastly reduced testing and commissioning time, reduced wastage of manufacturing time and a possible future of predictive and remote maintenance.
The webinar, will be very practical and discuss how Burr Oak Tool was successful in creating and using DT to their benefit. Eric Lund, Controls Manager at Burr Oak will talk on how they decided to go for a DT, the process and ultimate results. Naresh Arunagiri, Director at MN Engineering Solutions, will illustrate the various workflows and processes followed.

Mr Eric Lund, Controls and Software Engineering Manager Burr OAK Tool, Inc.
Eric Lund has more than 29+ years of experience in controls, focusses on New Product Development. He started his career as a software engineer writing software for multi-axis servo-controlled machines. In 2004 he helped develop the first Burr Oak Tool machine to use Siemens controllers and since then has helped the company establish Siemens controllers as the company’s primary control platform. He is leading the company’s Digitalization initiatives, including Industry 4.0 and the Digital Twin. Eric graduated from Brigham Young University with a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering.
