Cost Optimization of Melt Furnace Chamber

A US-based global leader in metallurgical processing equipment sought to reduce costs associated with melt furnace chambers. Without prior engineering analysis, their designs suffered from inefficient material usage, excessive consumption, and potential over-design, leading to unnecessary expenses.

MN Engineering Solutions conducted static analysis under thermal and radiation loads along with non-linear analysis to evaluate and refine the chamber’s components. Through design modifications, innovative geometries, and iterative testing across 50 cases, the team optimized the structure while maintaining the agreed Factor of Safety.
